Dr. David Downs is a respected leader in modern dentistry, known for his clinical precision, dedication to excellence, and unwavering commitment to patient care. With over 30 years of experience serving the Los Angeles community, Dr. Downs has built one of the area's most trusted and enduring private dental practices grounded in integrity, innovation, and a deep respect for each patient’s health and time. A graduate of Claremont McKenna College and the UCLA School of Dentistry, Dr. Downs is committed to staying at the forefront of his field through continuous education and the integration of cutting-edge dental technologies. He and his team regularly pursue advanced training to offer the latest in restorative, cosmetic, and preventive care. Dr. Downs holds certifications in laser dentistry, Invisalign®, OrthoFX® implant restorations, and soft tissue management, and has received extensive training in pain management and advanced restorative procedures. His precise technique, calm chairside manner, and reputation for delivering high-quality outcomes have earned the trust of generations of patients.

Dr. Kelner is a highly accomplished dental professional known for her clinical precision, advanced training, and commitment to delivering exceptional care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated with distinction. She went on to complete a rigorous postdoctoral residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she received advanced training in comprehensive general dentistry. Her clinical focus spans operative and restorative dentistry, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, edentulous case management, and the treatment of dental emergencies. Dr. Kelner is particularly skilled in managing dental anxiety and pain, utilizing a combination of behavioral and pharmacological techniques to ensure patient comfort. At the heart of her approach is a deep commitment to patient-centered care.

Dr. Kenneth Gozali is a highly trained general dentist who brings a strong foundation in both clinical dentistry and patient communication to the Downs Dental team. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree as well as his Registered Dental Hygienist certification from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California (USC), where he gained extensive hands-on experience and served in leadership roles during his training. Following dental school, Dr. Gozali completed a General Practice Residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he received advanced training in comprehensive, hospital-based dental care. His residency focused on restorative dentistry, preventive care, and the management of complex cases further enhancing his ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based treatment across a wide range of patient needs.

Amber joined Downs Dental in 2004 and serves as our Operations Manager, overseeing patient coordination, insurance systems, and office administration with professionalism and care. A graduate of California State University, Dominguez Hills, she holds a degree in Public Relations with a minor in Marketing, which she applies daily to ensure a seamless and patient-focused experience. With over two decades in the dental field, Amber brings a deep understanding of insurance navigation and patient support, helping patients feel informed and confident in their care.

Roxana began her career in dentistry after graduating from United Education Institute and has been a valued member of Downs Dental since 2007. As a Registered Dental Assistant and our Back Office Supervisor, she plays a critical role in overseeing clinical operations and coordinating advanced treatments, including dental implants, Zoom Whitening, and Invisalign®. With nearly two decades of experience, Roxana is known for her precision, efficiency, and commitment to delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Kristian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing from Everest College and brings over a decade of experience in patient care, customer relations, and strategic communication. Since joining Downs Dental in 2016, she has played a key role in strengthening our connection with patients through thoughtful marketing and engagement initiatives. As our Marketing Coordinator, Kristian manages communications, campaigns, and outreach programs that keep patients informed and connected with our office.

Brittney is a highly experienced Registered Dental Hygienist who earned her degree from the University of Southern California nearly a decade ago. She has since expanded her expertise with certifications in laser therapy, Soft Tissue Management, and an Alternative Practice certification from West L.A. College enabling her to provide care in skilled nursing facilities and to homebound patients. As the lead hygienist at Downs Dental for over eight years, Brittney is a trusted resource for both preventive and therapeutic care.

Elissa serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in shaping the front office experience at Downs Dental. As our Front Office Receptionist, she brings a strong background in administrative coordination and patient communication, ensuring that each visit begins with professionalism and care.
